Delete your account

Last updated: 2026-10-30

This page is for people who use Hello Pantry (hello-pantry: the Telegram bot, the Mini App, the web app and the Android app), made by Gabriele Proietti Mattia (https://gpm.name). It explains how to delete your data and your account. The Android app uses the same account and the same data as the bot, so the steps are the same wherever you use it.

Delete your data

In the bot: Settings → Delete all data, then confirm. Your homes, wardrobes, products, pieces and shopping lists, and the pictures attached to them, are deleted permanently and immediately.

The AI assistants you connected, such as Claude or ChatGPT, are not disconnected: they stay connected to an empty account. To disconnect them: Settings → Connected apps → Disconnect, in the Mini App or the web app.

Delete the account itself

Your profile is not removed by the step above, so the bot still works afterwards. The profile is your Telegram id, name, username and language, the email you linked, if any, and your sign-in sessions.

In the Mini App, the web app or the Android app: Settings → Delete account…, type DELETE and confirm. Your data and your profile go at once and for good, and every device you were signed in on is signed out. If you open the bot again afterwards, you start from an empty profile. While a block on your account is in force, the account cannot be deleted this way.

If you cannot use the app, write to apps@gpm.name with the subject Delete my account, from the email address linked to your account, or stating your Telegram username.

You get an answer within one month, as the GDPR requires.

What is deleted, what is kept

Crash reports and usage statistics

This applies only to the Google Play build of the Android app, and only if you said yes to diagnostics. Those reports (Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics) are held by Google, which deletes them according to its own retention periods. They are not in the Hello Pantry server, so Delete all data does not reach them. To stop any further reports, switch the two diagnostics switches off in the app’s Settings. A build without Google Play services has none of this. See the Android app.

AI assistants

What a connected AI assistant read from your homes was sent to the company that runs it (for example Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT) and is kept by that company, under its own rules. Deleting your Hello Pantry data or account does not reach it: to delete it, use that assistant’s own tools, for example by deleting the conversations. See AI assistants (MCP).
